I would like to begin my comprehensive discussion on enterprise computing which I found to be constructive focusing on ERP and CRM. First of all let me start with ERP which most of us known as Enterprise Resource Planning, for me in person ERP is best to describe as a suite of software used to planned and managed across the company enterprise. ERP comprises of automation of core business functions inclusive of production, accounting, distribution, supply chain and human resources.ERP juggles in between the use of technology and ability to integrate info from all our key business function and smooth the flows up around our organization. Literally ERP software cover sales, accounting production, inventory management quality, plan maintenance, transportation and other business process. Common sample of ERP are SAP and Oracle. Intentionally speaking a proper ERP can definitely create a significant value of efficiency across the business sector providing the fact in timely business info, lead up to much better clients relationship, cost effective supply chain, improving internal process and more importantly increasing profitability. Before we go any further to decide I guess we should come up to the cross section in considering several factors such as whether we are using manual automated system across our business at this stage. How often does client order entering various system within different department specially when clients are placing an order, bear in mind that if its profoundly mistaken could results in massive errors.
Alternatively by using ERP system our clients order info is only entered once and then available automatically throughout the business which means cheering up every department to be better off when we do have a clear and more timely info where critical business can be made accurately. In contrast we all know that selecting the correct ERPO system for our business needs is crucial specially when it consist of three various type to be chosen like the Microsoft dynamics – giving wide range of ERP software, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamic AX that can fully deliver integrated suite of modules across all key business function and we can be assure that this can definitely tailored and customize our specific needs of our consumer within the inventory section. That’s why TECTURA was originated prior to the increasing demand in order to provide us with an optimal ERP solution that is best to suit our business that I am going to revealed shortly down here.

Now I am asking you all individually on how badly do we need ERP solution, answering to this question in my point of view regardless of manual or automated system that we have in the business. They are not linked up to each other. With that say in the critical side we must ask to ourselves the sort of intriguing and challenging questions like; how fast do we raised an invoice after dispatching an order, does salary and bonuses relevant to sales performance, Are our marketing activities targeted to responsive potential markets, Are our sales people keep monitoring and measuring in the line with our business goals. I can certainly assure you that ERP system would be the only outcome to overcome these problems resulting all departments to be better equipped in carrying out the key tasks and visibility across all process.
Apparently when it comes to selecting the suitable ERP system for us we might have a difficulties in doing so cause each business has a specific and unique requirement to fulfill, however here are three famous types of ERP for us to choose from; First is Microsoft Dynamic AX – classify to be the cost effective alternative to SAP oracle, and people soft system Ax series is mostly dealt with large and highly complex requirements, Microsoft Dynamic Nav is technologically proven to be more effective product for company using their business management system on accounting process, Nav can be easily customized and provide industry and business with specific additional functions and last one is Microsoft Dynamics CRM which is best describe as customer relationship management better known as CRM system completed with the tools and capabilities in creating and maintaining clear pictures of our client useful in targeting new clients, managing campaigns, centralizing data and boosting sales revenue. To overcome with our IT budget matters Microsoft can assist us in offering us with financial support in terms of hardware service, software which can also assist us in spreading up the cost over extended period of time and preserving our precious cash resources. When it comes to the selection and installation of ERP system can lead to savage competition but its not trivial or limited to the issue on the future of our company but I think its worthwhile to take a closer look on the factual circumstances.
First step is to avoid preconceptions allegedly we must set aside the fact that the only one systems is correct as this will incur additional expense whenever we are requesting for the sender on the base of one product and system, establishing on what we are willing to achieve – coming to terms of efficiency, cost saving, manpower, and understanding our priority. Figuring out our goals to influence which system that can cope with future requirements. Trust our installation partner – to meet our budget target and keeping us well informed, Anticipating international issues – by ensuring our supplier can also support presence in other countries.

In coping and keeping up with the reviving demand of today’s modern technology I strongly encourage all of us to switch our current systems that we are using at this stage into ERP system given the fact that most clients seems to be enjoying the benefit provided of switching ourselves to ERP. There are many different variety of solutions available such as; SAP, SAGA, Oracle, people soft, Baan and JD Edwards. The following below herewith are the benefits we can pulled out by indicating our constant move to Microsoft Dynamics. First is giving us the seamless integration – that could integrate with Microsoft office in handling structure of Microsoft Dynamics and unstructured Microsoft data office.

Second it does look familiar and well served – part of the initiative action in reducing training cost, Allowing us to have the comprehensive finance system – which enables us to map diversify, our charts of account and dimension into reporting structures that match our business model is undoubtedly inspiring from second to none, Unmatched research and development investment – by creating the best business management for our company in between now and then.
Overall my choice of ERP system called Tectura can certainly provide us with a smooth transition and better return on investment out of our existing ERP solution. To burn down the fact only with Microsoft dynamics we can have such a minimal business interruption.

Moving on to another topic of CRM that I am willing to disclosed in which I’ve mentioned earlier on my written task. CRM is commonly known as Customer Relationship Management. To me individually I prefer to labeled it as clients personal assistance. We mostly used CRM in our company to develop our corporate business strategy which enable organization to get even closer with their clients in order to give a better service, Improving clients service, Enhance or assuring client satisfaction as well as maximizing clients royalty and retention. Based on the intellectual side of the core and structural concept all organization that we’ve seen in now days realize that in order to cope up with the competitive world of business it is crucial to grab wide attention from consumers with such a unique embodiment that symbolize our brand identity and special trademark alongside with superior service levels. Most Businesses which were initially concentrate on finance sales and marketing management are now swopping their priority to CRM with the easy use tools to manage business clients.

In an effort to completely understand CRM high end concept we need to look at the variety of technology employed to the streamline clients interaction in order to find, acquire and retain clients. In terms of sustaining human relationship CRM tools adding up to the value of operational process and business functions focusing on retaining clients, improving clients royalty and maximizing profitability. Literally in my opinion every business in now days must concentrate heavily on the needs of their clients. That is why I am thinking that CRM would be the array of process to help the company in understanding the preferences or dislike of our individual clients as it perceived in every department in order to build up long lasting relationship. In a matter of fact CRM solution is technically safe in a store volume of clients data in the organized form of easy to access manner. Looking at CRM ability to demonstrate such a long haul data of business person can absolutely determine individual clients behavior. Analyzing preferences and providing one on one services to maximize clients satisfaction like conducting centric approach to recognize clients royalty and increase their value to the company. Drawing on my conclusion typical CRM software allowing us to track and organize its contact with its current and prospective clients more effectively enabling our employee to store info on clients along with their interaction which can be accessed by them in a different department within our company.
Mostly there are three area in which our company interacts with our clients first is front office contact – includes phone calls, email, brief messages, Back office operations – mainly facilitating on front office does on daily base doing service like clients billing, dealing with marketing and advertising and business contact – where employees interact with clients and suppliers through networking and trade association. To be more precise I will subdivide the key elements of CRM into 3 crucial section in which many software vendors have successfully developed packages for. In the meantime they are listed are as follows; Client service – represent front office function that interact with client focusing on selling product and services to clients as well as communicating with clients on relevant issues of marketing and getting over after sales service requirement of our clients. In accordance to the company policy each interaction with our clients must be recorded in CRM software to ensure the quality and coaching purposes is achieved.

Second format is Sales force automation – allowing sales team in our company to record each of their contact with clients including details of the contact and in case should there be any follow up needed – giving us less change to get duplication of effort as it only exercising power to provide the clients with the best service.
Third is Campaign Management – aiming in winning new business used by sales team to concentrate in campaign where it based on a set of criteria – obviously clients in this specific area are recurring targeted marketing materials whilst sales team are hectic recording their campaign details with client responses and analysis performed within the part of the campaign.
Finally to boil down the fact on CRM and ERP I must admit that both software have been popular under continuing and constant demand over the last two decades.
For example Siebel system which was originated by Thomas Siebel in 1993 resulting in popular sales force automation after that epiphany was then launched in the market by constant reviving demand in 2005. As a result of that Epiphany CRM software is now promoted as in for CRM Epiphany. Furthermore sales force.com and sales force enterprise is also labeled to be the leading CRM product which I often use to generate, gaining an easy access to consumer data for marketing and promotional purposes at the office. Sales force.com was established in 1999 and now they retain for more than 55.000 clients across the globe. Overwhelmingly SAP which is commonly known as vendor of ERP is also popular in CRM package that is why I do emphasize and encourage for those business which aren’t familiar with the usage of CRM and ERP to act quickly making their move in shifting to CRM and ERP as we can all see here that most of SAP CRM product is often purchased by companies clearly proven in providing the ease of integration apart from making our life far more easier to do business and interact with our clients. Nevertheless its technology proven that both CRM and ERP are still struggling to meet its high expectation from the consumers as the urgency to maximize their usage are erupted in the organization.

Technology and software database is an application that gives us a free access to download, learn within unlimited evaluation time, incredibly each software comes with development license that provides us to use a full version of the product at no hidden cost whilst we are developing and prototyping our applications. These databases have been clearly proven to be highly successful for giant companies like oracle, IBM, and Microsoft whilst the open source also have RDBMS post SQL and SQ Lite, Virtually these databases are nestled in data base file which is more into desktop application like Microsoft access and SQ Lite that stands for public domain database classify as stores data in one file, Database server runs on network PC apparently huge database are server based as it more faster and robust. Subsequently application communicate with database server through these following links; Domain name of the server or local host of DNS name, server port – 3306 for My SQL and 1433 for Microsoft SQL serve username and password them name of database meanwhile for those who aren’t familiar SQL stands for structured query language and define as simple language provides instruction used to build and modify structure of database. Drawing on definition of Database from business point of view and perspective is an organizational structure of our crucial data by all means its entirely up to the user based on whatever content is in there and the way users are using it. Literally in today demanding market most businesses are facing a highly demanding challenge in terms of compliance, quality of assurance, traceability, etc, However these needs to overcome the situation more effectively and efficiently should we not be looking for a whooping cost structure with that say efficient database technology will certainly be the perfect answer to that question specially for a small business user whom manually input data from keyboards through large operations that comes with an automated data collection and processing. Please be informed that extracting data can certainly assist us in analyzing and making submission on our report info. On the other way around this will also be given as an easy access from spreadsheets and other software application. All info generated from our database use to empower and emphasize people in our business. More importantly as business user we must be able to provide an easy access to a fresh and timely accurate data to our team in a form where they are keen to receive them .

3. Further to my observation maintaining data quality within operational and business marketing application is a form of disciplinary which is frequently overlooked by many organizations. Most executives like myself would have thought that all of the company operational and analytical business process is definitely rely on a solid high quality data foundation. Unseeingly the quality of data use for marketing and boosting sales purposes involves assuring accuracy, time lines, completeness and consistency of data used by the company at the same time. Assuring each individual who use these data has a common understanding on what the data actually interprets and represents eg; the scope of data quality subjects are not limited to data generated by the company own operation on the other hand the data obtained and originated from the other external source must also be included. Most of the companies consider data as an absolute necessity that has its own initiative specially when it comes to overcome critical mission and mission and those who are required to meet the dateline of government reporting and disclosure requirement. From this factual usage and value the data will then escalates as one of the most critical aspect in the company. 4. Amazingly the beauty of database marketing I often use at the banking and hospitality industries are giving me a permission to get better and better at what I do by using test control. Cause I know that every single promotion to clients must be place into a test and hold for some reasons even though I consider on what I’ve done so far is brilliant the only proof of evidence given is when the clients respond, giving a feedback and make purchase on goods and services. I am thinking that success in the market is valid as a measure of my promotions as a serious marketer. By all means our clients database must be combined and riddles with control groups. Different individuals don’t get the same promotions which is being sent to thousand of others. I can be assure that by doing this we can slowly learn on whether promotion is worthwhile. Here are few questions I am hoping everyone to reflect and stick in their mind ; what have I learned from the latest strategy I’ve been arranging so far and how can I implement this towards the future in improving and accomplishing my marketing mission, who is in charge in the company , have I already sustain a reasonably good corporate governance alongside with the control group system in the company. Having said that here is the case studies from several banking

and hospitality industries which I’ve been working for so far. These organizations have many things in common when it comes to selecting clients based on their income, net worth, company or industry they privately owned or worked for, investment objectives, current type of credit or charge cards they do have at this stage, do they own their assets in their own rights, type of vehicle they drive, current residential premises, status of residency in a hope they could afford to purchase prominent villa in the upscale markets. These upfront assessment must be made to assess each individual ability as part of the company procedure from the automated database generate from sales force. After I made my evaluation and analysis I can then get to invite them to indulge their 7 nights free stay at the exclusive five star resorts and get them to come in at prestigious events like the gentlemen’s club in Great Britain or perhaps getting them to join into one of the world classiest cards programs. Power user within the world of computer system technology is define as people who are working in a large industrial section which requires state of the art technology of a well developed computer program to create special effect regardless of any hardware and software they are using. On the 3rd week of my assignment I am going to discuss more specifically on each type of hardware and software within the power user circle. First lets take a look on a software definition, software is the common terms used to organized wide variety of computer collection data and instruction. There are 2 parts of software available;
1. System software – non task, specific function of computer, use of control, integrate and managing hardware of computer system to see its function as functional unit eg; transfer data through from memory disk. System software consist of operating system and utilities like disk format, file manager, text editor, management tools, networking, and device control software second part of application software is running computer system, accomplishing task through software package like; spreadsheet, text processing system, software suite, Microsoft office would be the one which works closely with integrated word process.
There are many types of computer software that power user use depending on their work purposes includes; audio, CD ROMS, database, financial tax software, games application, freeware, graphic and multimedia, mapping, document management, office suites, open sources, photo and video, presentation, security, shareware, spreadsheets, telephony, utilities, voice recognition, windows, words processing, still heaps to mention.
For the present time being I would like to discuss on the benefits, objective, pitfalls, along with strength and weaknesses on the most commonly used preferred software as one of the best among others in the market;
1. For media players is WINAMP or MP3 player allowing us to organizing, playing synchronizing, media to this device, launched back initially in 1997 now its been transform into media manager, win amp is an audio and video player that has and retain its ability to support media formats, its function includes CD ripping / burning, playlist, easy access to I pod which led to I tunes. The rest of media players devices are also up and running in the market including I tunes 8 series, Microsoft windows media player series 11, jet audio series 7, media juke box series 12.
2. Business presentation and multimedia authoring software for windows use to create business presentation games, CD, DVD, There are lots of different type however I am just going to be discussing the most common ones; Director – applies to windows and Mac with standard minimum to create and deliver powerful multimedia, power point – windows use only specialized in graphic presentation of Microsoft. Presentation publisher can be used in windows only – creating digital multimedia business presentation with 100 digital effects, media works – applies to windows and Mac user creating videos, slide shows, web filming interactive, CD rom content features includes timeline interface, bounded animation, sounds, etc.
3. Adobe photo shop tolls – located in photo shop tool bars and menu in working software useful to facilitate design and improve work flow these are the types of many different tolls; photo shop tools presets – creating tools preset pallete, area of copies or cropped. Marque tolls – to select image with 4 types of tolls here; rectangular, elliptical, single rows and columns, Crop tool – cutting out area we wish to keep handy for resizing images. Clone stamp tool – retouch photo by copying from one area of image to other area. Photo shop save web tools – easy way to prepare JPEG file required for the web, better capacity on file size and image quality.
4. Desktop publishing for professional use applies to windows and Mac. Best free desktop publishing software for general use in windows and Mac. For print creativity software applies to scrap book calendars, for graphics software use in publishing most common tolls and feature used are in grid, import or place graphics, import of place text and text wrap.

The hardware which applicable o power user also include in a proper PC works station set up. Following factors like poor posture, incorrect ergonomic info will contribute to improper set up.
So relatively good ergonomic equipment and practices can guide us in our work making our life even more enjoyable it’s a personal thing means what work for other people might not work for us, so we must use experimentation and theory using today mechanics and firm baseline.
