I would like to begin my comprehensive discussion on enterprise computing which I found to be constructive focusing on ERP and CRM. First of all let me start with ERP which most of us known as Enterprise Resource Planning, for me in person ERP is best to describe as a suite of software used to planned and managed across the company enterprise. ERP comprises of automation of core business functions inclusive of production, accounting, distribution, supply chain and human resources.ERP juggles in between the use of technology and ability to integrate info from all our key business function and smooth the flows up around our organization. Literally ERP software cover sales, accounting production, inventory management quality, plan maintenance, transportation and other business process. Common sample of ERP are SAP and Oracle. Intentionally speaking a proper ERP can definitely create a significant value of efficiency across the business sector providing the fact in timely business info, lead up to much better clients relationship, cost effective supply chain, improving internal process and more importantly increasing profitability. Before we go any further to decide I guess we should come up to the cross section in considering several factors such as whether we are using manual automated system across our business at this stage. How often does client order entering various system within different department specially when clients are placing an order, bear in mind that if its profoundly mistaken could results in massive errors.
Alternatively by using ERP system our clients order info is only entered once and then available automatically throughout the business which means cheering up every department to be better off when we do have a clear and more timely info where critical business can be made accurately. In contrast we all know that selecting the correct ERPO system for our business needs is crucial specially when it consist of three various type to be chosen like the Microsoft dynamics – giving wide range of ERP software, Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Dynamic AX that can fully deliver integrated suite of modules across all key business function and we can be assure that this can definitely tailored and customize our specific needs of our consumer within the inventory section. Now I am asking you all individually on how badly do we need ERP solution, answering to this question in my point of view regardless of manual or automated system that we have in the business. They are not linked up to each other. With that say in the critical side we must ask to ourselves the sort of intriguing and challenging questions like; how fast do we raised an invoice after dispatching an order, does salary and bonuses relevant to sales performance, Are our marketing activities targeted to responsive potential markets, Are our sales people keep monitoring and measuring in the line with our business goals. I can certainly assure you that ERP system would be the only outcome to overcome these problems resulting all departments to be better equipped in carrying out the key tasks and visibility across all process.
Apparently when it comes to selecting the suitable ERP system for us we might have a difficulties in doing so cause each business has a specific and unique requirement to fulfill, however here are three famous types of ERP for us to choose from; First is Microsoft Dynamic AX – classify to be the cost effective alternative to SAP oracle, and people soft system Ax series is mostly dealt with large and highly complex requirements, Microsoft Dynamic Nav is technologically proven to be more effective product for company using their business management system on accounting process, Nav can be easily customized and provide industry and business with specific additional functions and last one is Microsoft Dynamics CRM which is best describe as customer relationship management better known as CRM system completed with the tools and capabilities in creating and maintaining clear pictures of our client useful in targeting new clients, managing campaigns, centralizing data and boosting sales revenue. To overcome with our IT budget matters Microsoft can assist us in offering us with financial support in terms of hardware service, software which can also assist us in spreading up the cost over extended period of time and preserving our precious cash resources. When it comes to the selection and installation of ERP system can lead to savage competition but its not trivial or limited to the issue on the future of our company but I think its worthwhile to take a closer look on the factual circumstances.
First step is to avoid preconceptions allegedly we must set aside the fact that the only one systems is correct as this will incur additional expense whenever we are requesting for the sender on the base of one product and system, establishing on what we are willing to achieve – coming to terms of efficiency, cost saving, manpower, and understanding our priority. Figuring out our goals to influence which system that can cope with future requirements. Trust our installation partner – to meet our budget target and keeping us well informed, Anticipating international issues – by ensuring our supplier can also support presence in other countries.
In coping and keeping up with the reviving demand of today’s modern technology I strongly encourage all of us to switch our current systems that we are using at this stage into ERP system given the fact that most clients seems to be enjoying the benefit provided of switching ourselves to ERP. There are many different variety of solutions available such as; SAP, SAGA, Oracle, people soft, Baan and JD Edwards. The following below herewith are the benefits we can pulled out by indicating our constant move to Microsoft Dynamics. First is giving us the seamless integration – that could integrate with Microsoft office in handling structure of Microsoft Dynamics and unstructured Microsoft data office.
Second it does look familiar and well served – part of the initiative action in reducing training cost, Allowing us to have the comprehensive finance system – which enables us to map diversify, our charts of account and dimension into reporting structures that match our business model is undoubtedly inspiring from second to none, Unmatched research and development investment – by creating the best business management for our company in between now and then.
Overall my choice of ERP system called Tectura can certainly provide us with a smooth transition and better return on investment out of our existing ERP solution. To burn down the fact only with Microsoft dynamics we can have such a minimal business interruption.
Moving on to another topic of CRM that I am willing to disclosed in which I’ve mentioned earlier on my written task. CRM is commonly known as Customer Relationship Management. To me individually I prefer to labeled it as clients personal assistance. We mostly used CRM in our company to develop our corporate business strategy which enable organization to get even closer with their clients in order to give a better service, Improving clients service, Enhance or assuring client satisfaction as well as maximizing clients royalty and retention. Based on the intellectual side of the core and structural concept all organization that we’ve seen in now days realize that in order to cope up with the competitive world of business it is crucial to grab wide attention from consumers with such a unique embodiment that symbolize our brand identity and special trademark alongside with superior service levels. Most Businesses which were initially concentrate on finance sales and marketing management are now swopping their priority to CRM with the easy use tools to manage business clients.
In an effort to completely understand CRM high end concept we need to look at the variety of technology employed to the streamline clients interaction in order to find, acquire and retain clients. In terms of sustaining human relationship CRM tools adding up to the value of operational process and business functions focusing on retaining clients, improving clients royalty and maximizing profitability. Literally in my opinion every business in now days must concentrate heavily on the needs of their clients. That is why I am thinking that CRM would be the array of process to help the company in understanding the preferences or dislike of our individual clients as it perceived in every department in order to build up long lasting relationship. In a matter of fact CRM solution is technically safe in a store volume of clients data in the organized form of easy to access manner. Looking at CRM ability to demonstrate such a long haul data of business person can absolutely determine individual clients behavior. Analyzing preferences and providing one on one services to maximize clients satisfaction like conducting centric approach to recognize clients royalty and increase their value to the company. Drawing on my conclusion typical CRM software allowing us to track and organize its contact with its current and prospective clients more effectively enabling our employee to store info on clients along with their interaction which can be accessed by them in a different department within our company.
Mostly there are three area in which our company interacts with our clients first is front office contact – includes phone calls, email, brief messages, Back office operations – mainly facilitating on front office does on daily base doing service like clients billing, dealing with marketing and advertising and business contact – where employees interact with clients and suppliers through networking and trade association. To be more precise I will subdivide the key elements of CRM into 3 crucial section in which many software vendors have successfully developed packages for. In the meantime they are listed are as follows; Client service – represent front office function that interact with client focusing on selling product and services to clients as well as communicating with clients on relevant issues of marketing and getting over after sales service requirement of our clients. In accordance to the company policy each interaction with our clients must be recorded in CRM software to ensure the quality and coaching purposes is achieved.
Second format is Sales force automation – allowing sales team in our company to record each of their contact with clients including details of the contact and in case should there be any follow up needed – giving us less change to get duplication of effort as it only exercising power to provide the clients with the best service.
Third is Campaign Management – aiming in winning new business used by sales team to concentrate in campaign where it based on a set of criteria – obviously clients in this specific area are recurring targeted marketing materials whilst sales team are hectic recording their campaign details with client responses and analysis performed within the part of the campaign.
Finally to boil down the fact on CRM and ERP I must admit that both software have been popular under continuing and constant demand over the last two decades.
For example Siebel system which was originated by Thomas Siebel in 1993 resulting in popular sales force automation after that epiphany was then launched in the market by constant reviving demand in 2005. As a result of that Epiphany CRM software is now promoted as in for CRM Epiphany. Furthermore sales force.com and sales force enterprise is also labeled to be the leading CRM product which I often use to generate, gaining an easy access to consumer data for marketing and promotional purposes at the office. Sales force.com was established in 1999 and now they retain for more than 55.000 clients across the globe. Overwhelmingly SAP which is commonly known as vendor of ERP is also popular in CRM package that is why I do emphasize and encourage for those business which aren’t familiar with the usage of CRM and ERP to act quickly making their move in shifting to CRM and ERP as we can all see here that most of SAP CRM product is often purchased by companies clearly proven in providing the ease of integration apart from making our life far more easier to do business and interact with our clients. Nevertheless its technology proven that both CRM and ERP are still struggling to meet its high expectation from the consumers as the urgency to maximize their usage are erupted in the organization.
